Health Wise is conducting a confidential executive search for an experienced Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership for an established acute care hospital in Southern California.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished healthcare executive to lead a quality-focused organization, strengthen physician and community relationships, drive sustainable growth, and shape the hospital’s next chapter.

The Chief Executive Officer will serve as the hospital’s senior executive leader with overall responsibility for strategic direction, hospital operations, financial performance, quality, growth, and organizational culture.

The CEO will work closely with physicians, executive leadership, employees, and community stakeholders to advance organizational priorities while maintaining a strong commitment to exceptional patient care and operational excellence.

• Provide overall executive leadership and oversight of hospital operations
• Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans
• Drive strong operational and financial performance
• Ensure continued excellence in quality, patient safety, service, and regulatory compliance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and medical staff
• Identify opportunities for business development, service-line growth, and market expansion
• Strengthen relationships with employees, community leaders, and key stakeholders
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team
• Align people, processes, and strategy around organizational priorities
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement
• Lead organizational change and performance improvement initiatives

The successful candidate will be an accomplished healthcare leader with demonstrated success leading hospital operations and the ability to balance clinical excellence, financial stewardship, strategic growth, and strong relationships.

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible healthcare administration leadership experience
• Demonstrated success leading acute care hospital operations, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth
• Strong financial, operational, and strategic planning expertise
• Proven ability to build productive physician and stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at all levels of an organization
• Experience developing and leading high-performing executive teams
• Strong change-management and performance-improvement capabilities
• Excellent executive communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to community engagement and service

Previous hospital CEO, COO, or comparable senior executive leadership experience is highly desirable.

Annual Compensation: $250,000–$350,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
